We intend to develop homemaker and companion services for Veterans who need non-medical assistance in their homes to remain safe and independent.
Helping Veterans Remain Safe and Independent at Home
Support may include
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Meal preparation
- Grocery assistance
- Household organization
- Companionship and conversation
- Accompaniment to appointments
- Community outings
- Recreational activities
- Safety and wellness check-ins
Homemaker and companion personnel do not provide medical or nursing services unless separately qualified and authorized to do so.
